The Standard Child Protection Policy of the Free Churches in Austria (FKÖ) stipulates that all youth, children’s group and children’s service workers, as well as all members of the church leadership (regardless of whether their area of responsibility involves direct contact with young people or not), in FKÖ congregations must undertake child protection training at the start of their service.
This training must be repeated every 5 years.
We aim to provide growing children and young people with a healthy and safe home whilst at the same time preventing any form of abuse. This requires safe and healthy staff who, as positive role models, foster and strengthen the growth of the next generation.
The training course ‘The Church as a Healthy and Safe Home’ is aimed at staff from FKÖ churches, as well as those working in areas that look after children or young people. The Federation of Pentecostal Free Churches covers the costs of this training.
We offer training sessions several times a year. These sessions are based on the child protection regulations of the Free Churches in Austria (FKÖ) and are therefore ideal for congregations that are part of the FKÖ.
